feeling kind of...ready?

Yes, that's right- I might actually be feeling ready. The oil is changed in the car, the baby hammock-thingy is set up, there are things to wear that theoretically should fit this little creature and diapers to catch her poops, Sweet Pea's old clothes are sorted by size and put into bins, birthday presents for Sweet Pea are ordered and on their way (though unfortunately the big one, a "Little House on the Prarie-esque" dress seems to have gotten lost in the mail), and I fixed the curtain rod that was threatening to pull out of the wall and fall on my head in the middle of the night. Sure, there are a thousand other things that SHOULD be done (that huge pile of STUFF in the basement, for one, and some needed home repairs that really have to be done this fall) but other than putting the infant carseat in, we are in much better shape than we were a few weeks ago. Whew. 

Got monitored this AM; nothing much new. Since my doctor was away again, they did it in the perinatologist's office. The surprise bonus was that they always do a quick ultrasound to make sure fluid levels are OK, so I got to at least see Funnypants' legs, heart and ribs. Yep--she's still there.
