cracked, leaky, and broken

No, they're not the new anti-heroes of a kids' TV show. That's everything around the house today. Found out that the car windshield is cracked, the water heater and a faucet are leaking, and the main water shutoff valve in the house is probably broken in some way. All of which adds up to somewhat of a pain and a lot of money.

Add me to the list of the cracked, leaky, and broken. Had my regularly scheduled appt. with the dr., which of course always leads to crises. Today it was waiting and waiting and waiting for the dr., only to have her called away for an emergency surgery. "Come back tomorrow instead." Meanwhile, I had been having some issues, which I really wanted looked at today, and was feeling a little panicky. So dear hubby had them check one of the other docs who was working in another clinic today; she fit us in, though it meant tearing down to another county to get there. Lovely woman was a little concerned, so put me back on the monitor for an hour, and checked me again (staying late to do so). Yes, I'm having issues, yes things have gotten worse, but they were not actively getting worse, so she sent me home. Her parting words, though, were that she would bet we'll have a baby by next week.

Huh. Do you think we could get the car and the water heater to replicate too?
